ICPAS

The Illinois CPA Society (ICPAS), with more than 24,000 members, is a statewide, professional membership organization dedicated to enhancing the value of the CPA profession. Founded in 1903, ICPAS is the fifth largest state CPA society in the nation. ICPAS represents Illinois CPAs in public accounting and consulting, corporate accounting and finance, government and not-for-profit organizations as well as three affiliate member groups: students, educators and related finance professionals.

Ends Policies

Ends policies, created by the Board of Directors, describe the results that the Society strives to accomplish in support of the mission.  They specify what good (results, changes, benefits) the Society wants to accomplish for what people (members, other impacted groups) at what cost (priority and allocation of resources).

AICPA

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, founded in 1887, is the world’s largest association representing the accounting profession, with nearly 377,000 members in 128 countries. AICPA members represent many areas of practice, including business and industry, public practice, government, education and consulting; membership is also available to accounting students and CPA candidates. The AICPA sets ethical standards for the profession and U.S. auditing standards for audits of private companies, non-profit organizations and federal, state and local governments. It develops and grades the Uniform CPA Examination.
