With roots much like a scholastic guild, the community of participants in the Institute participate in self-regulated research efforts and knowledge-sharing through informal and formal programs. The community and its activities are driven by the Institute Fellows, the Board of Advisors, the students and seminar attendees, and the administration including the Directors.

The Institute of Strategy & Valuation is a member of the EAS Group, which includes a number of organizations including Equity Analysis & Strategy, EAS Incera, EAS Digital, and the Foundation for Socioeconomic Advancement. The partnership between the Foundation and the Institute is a strong one, with scholarship programs that intertwine financial support and practical business education.

Institute Fellows are senior practitioners of their respective fields in strategy, execution, performance, and valuation. Each has participated in Institute seminars and events, and/or contributed research and content for the programs.

The community that makes up the Institute includes grass-roots organizations that have evolved, sometimes composing several hundred members each. One of the larger ones is the Institute of Strategy & Valuation Association, ISVA. A prominent and active regional chapter is the Strategy, Execution, and Valuation Alumni Association, SEVAA, based in Chicago.

The Executive Director of the Institute is Anthony Campagna and the Senior Regional Director is Jed Velarde. The Board of Advisors is made up of a number of the Fellows of the Institute who help ensure that mission of the Institute is carried out.
